Chicago Bound…I hope

So I’m in the midst of planning a trip for Mike and I to Chicago to celebrate our 3-year anniversary (yay!!!) and his birthday (Aug. 1).  We are supposed to be leaving on Tuesday, July 29, after work and staying until Friday morning.  The hotel was recommended to my by Stacey Salas (who does a [...]

“Winning isn’t everything–it’s the ONLY thing.”

So I really had to make myself sit down and write a real post today.  I’ve been so busy and tired with studying for the GRE that I really haven’t felt like sitting down to type anything at the computer.
So, where to start?
I guess I can startr with the post that I added yesterday about [...]

Extended Weekend

So I don’t have to go to work until 1:00 PM tomorrow b/c I am taking to comp time in the morning.  I picked up Garrett’s office coverage on Friday afternoon, and since I hadn’t taken my comp time for the week yet, I’m doing it tomorrow.  Usually, it’s suggested to take the comp time [...]

One more thing

So the other day when I made my post about Mike, I forgot to mention a couple of things. For a person so “experienced” (yeah, you know what I mean), Mike has a very “vanilla” love-making style. That’s not bad, just a bit surprising. He is absolutely turned off by anything [...]

Bleeding Love

So I just want to quickly say that I’ve been doing a lot of college fairs lately and something is very clear to me:  Boys at this time in their lives in high school can be VERY handsome.  I was listening to the radio a couple of weeks ago when I was out in NY and one of the radio commentators called them “manboys”, and that’s the best way to describe them:  Boys who are not yet “legal”  but who possess all of the characteristics of manhood.  This is especially true of boys who participate in athletics. They have great musculature with lean bodies and nice faces with wisps of hair.  I know that they’re off limits, but they’re nice to look at.  I would never do anything with them b/c of the legal ramifications, not to mention the moral “no-no” implied.  But it’s nice to fantasize sometime
In other news, Mike and I are kind of at a sexual impasse.  We love each other now more than ever, but when it comes to the bedroom, we’re [...]

Changing Lives

So it’s been a while since I last updated, so I thought it was about time. Last week was really fun. It was CTCL time! Garrett acquired some territory in the MD/VA/DC area, so he did the CTCL fairs in Bethesda and McClean (VA). So I started the tour on Monday [...]

Excuse me, what’s my motivation?

Still trying to find my motivation.  I really need to hardcore study for the GRE.  Tonight, in the midst of watching the American semifinals, I did some vocabulary review.  But not very much.  I really need to step it up.  Today, Mike found out about his acceptance to the Political Science graduate program at CMU [...]

There goes the neighborhood

Well, so much for my desire to post more frequently (see previous post). I currently find myself in East Rutherford, New Jersey doing some recruitment and such. It’s going well, but I can’t wait to head back home in a few days. I’ve been here since last Sunday–so just over a week [...]

Can the neverending battle ever truly be won?

I agonized for a while as to whether or not I would write this post. It’s been several months since I was last seen here…what would I say? Is there anything going on in my life worth saying?
I guess I’ll start off by saying that last Thursday was Thanksgiving. Mike came with [...]

Stressed…

So I have been so tense lately.
Last night Emily told me about some racist things that Jason Berry said as she drove him to look at apartments in downtown Grand Rapids. Apparently, they were driving according to the speed limit and Emily almost hit a little kid who tore away from his father and [...]
